Lipofilling
As we age, we will not only experience drooping facial skin, but also our facial fat will deteriorate. This will lead to bony facial appearance, revealing marks and groove, such as sunken eyes, tear trough, mid cheek groove and temporal hollow. Operations such as Eye Lift, Brow Lift, or Face Lift may not completely address these ditches, so Lipofilling can complement in this regard.
Lipofilling can be implemented in several parts, such as forehead, temporal area, surrounding the eye, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. The procedure can be done together with Face Lift or Eye Lift operation, or in the case of younger patients whose skin has not dropped substantially yet, the lipofilling operation by itself will be adequate.
During the first year, the fat may deteriorate by 20-60% depending on the area and individual cases. This can be resolved with a re-lipofilling operation.
If overly done, the result may be unnatural and lead to a lump underneath.
