Lip Lift

Lip Lift operation is often recommended for individuals whose thin lips make for aging looks. The operation involves performing a cut underneath the nasal sill, stretching from one side of the alar to another. The excess skin underneath the nasal sill will then be removed and pulled to reveal more of the upper lip.

It is important to be aware of the scar, which will gradually fade away within 6-12 months. The overall shape of the lip will remain the same, with the upper lip appearing fuller.

It is recommended to have a pre-assessment from the surgeon. Individuals whose lip tissues are already proportionate, the operation may actually lead to a disproportionate appearance.

Recommended for:

Individuals with thin upper lips who want a fuller lip look.

Operation details:

After applying anesthesia, the surgeon will perform a cut, stop the bleeding entirely, and then stitch the cut

Post-operational treatments:

  1. Apply cold pack for the first 3 days.

  2. Clean the area daily, avoid contact with water.

  3. Remove the suture on Day 7, after which the wound can come in contact with water and makeups can be applied.

  4. The swelling will be less noticeable after 3-6 months.

Possible side-effects:

Scars may be visible, and will typically fade within 1 year

How long will the change last?

The change will typically last a lifetime. It is important to note that even with the operation, human lips will naturally become thinner with age.
